Instructions

  • Click on Start, then right click on My Network Places. On the sub-menu that appears, click on Properties.
  • Double-click on the icon for your Local Area Connection. (you may need to look at the Device Name to make sure you have the correct one)
  • Click on Properties.
  • Click on the Configure button. Then click the Advanced tab on the screen that appears.
  • Click on ESSID. Set it to BLAST (all caps).
  • Click on Infrastructure Mode. This must be set to Infrastructure.
  • Also, make sure the that the Encryption Level is set to None.
  • Click OK. Click Close.
  • Launch a web browser and your Login page should appear.
  • Sign Up!
  • Just enter your Username and Password and get connected!

Troubleshooting

I have an active account but I Can't Log In.

  • Occasionally you may find that you have an adequate signal, but are unable to log on or browse. If this is the case, please follow these instructions.

Disconnecting Completely.

  • Disconnect your wireless adapter from your computer for a period of three to five minutes. Re-connect your adapter and attempt to log on as normal.

Restarting Your Computer.

  • If you are still unable to log in, try to disconnect again by following the instructions above, then shut your computer down. Restart your computer and try to log in.

Check your Wireless Configuration.

  • Click on Start, then right click on My Network Places. On the sub-menu that appears, click on Properties.

  • Click on Properties.
  • Click on the Configure button. Then click the Advanced tab on the screen that appears.

  • Click OK. Click Close.

Renew Your IP Address.

  • Click on Start, then click on Run.
  • Type in cmd (command)
  • Type ipconfig /release, then hit <enter>.
  • After this command processes, type ipconfig /renew, then hit <enter>.
